Philosophy
Sydney believes a trustworthy, non-judgmental relationship between therapist and client is foundational to the therapeutic process. She strives to provide the space for her clients to better understand themselves and the issues they face, while discovering new ways to live in alignment with their values and identities. Sydney draws on an eclectic variety of approaches to address her clients’ needs, including insight oriented models like Psychodynamic Theory, Relational Psychodynamic theory, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices.
Joy
Sydney finds joy in spending time with her family, playing in orchestras, and drinking quality coffee.
Sydney sees clients in our SW Durham and RTP offices and by Telehealth.
