Sydney (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) and a graduate of CAS’ Fellowship Training Program. In addition to expertise in eating disorders treatment, Sydney is trained in perinatal mental health and is passionate about working with expectant and new parents navigating the rollercoaster of this unique phase of life. (Babies are always welcome in session!) Sydney also enjoys working with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, dissociation, and trauma.

Maggie Mahaffey

Maggie (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate.  She has a Masters degree from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University and a Bachelor’s in Nutrition Science from North Carolina State University. Given her lifetime passion for food and interest in the way food connects us to ourselves and our communities, Maggie pursued put her nutrition education to use in the hospitality field and offered nutrition counseling through a clinic in Texas. Her passion for food, for people, and her growing interest in the counseling component of her work lead her to pursue specialization as a counselor in the field of eating disorders. Maggie is a graduate of the CAS Counseling Fellowship, where she received extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders and psychotherapeutic approaches, while provided counseling to children, teens, and adults with eating disorders, trauma, and a wide range of mental health challenges.

Margaret Dodd

Margaret (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) and Psychotherapy Training Fellow at CAS Counseling. She received a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Margaret has experience providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and their families. She has worked in inpatient and residential treatment settings, with clients experiencing eating disorders, anxiety, depression and trauma.

Jordyn Kathmann

PSYCHOTHERAPY FELLOW

Jordyn (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) and a Psychotherapy Training Fellow at CAS. Jordyn has a background working with tweens, teens and young adults experiencing the impacts of traumatic experiences, anxiety and depression, body dissatisfaction and disordered eating in both group and individual therapeutic settings. Jordyn earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Youth Studies and Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2021. She spent a year working with youth recovering from sexual exploitation and trafficking before continuing her education at UNC Chapel Hill, where she obtained a Masters of Social Work. Jordyn has a passion for working with LGBTQ+ identifying individuals, as well as young women and girls.

Sandrine Ingabire

Sandrine (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a Psychotherapy Training Fellow at CAS. She is a graduate from Appalachian State University’s Clinical mental Health Counseling program. Sandrine completed a yearlong internship working with different populations. Her experience includes working with college age students and adults of all ages in both university and hospital settings, while treating depression, anxiety, eating concerns, trauma, career challenges, identity and relationship issues. In her work, she’s provided individual counseling, group counseling, assessment, diagnosis, crisis counseling and referral services. She has a particular interest in working with individuals healing from trauma.

Danielle Bent

SOCIAL WORK INTERN

Danielle (she/her) is a second year direct practice Masters of Social Work student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focused on working with children and adolescents through their mental health challenges. She is a Primecare4youth trainee this year, granting her the opportunity to receive specialized training on trauma-informed care for youth and families. Danielle received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. She enjoys working with all age groups but is especially passionate about working with children and adolescents.
