Background
Danielle (she/her) is a second year direct practice Masters of Social Work student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focused on working with children and adolescents through their mental health challenges. She is a Primecare4youth trainee this year, granting her the opportunity to receive specialized training on trauma-informed care for youth and families. Danielle received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. She enjoys working with all age groups but is especially passionate about working with children and adolescents.
Philosophy
Danielle prides herself on creating an inclusive, welcoming, and comfortable environment for clients. She hopes to hold space for clients to embark on their journey of self fulfillment and understanding. Through this environment, she strives to build a balanced relationship with her clients allowing them to navigate through life’s challenges with a helping hand. She utilizes a trauma-informed approach combining a variety of modalities in practice such as trauma-informed CBT, motivational interviewing, and Systems Theory.
Joy
Danielle finds joy in trying new coffee shops in the Triangle area, dance classes at her local Pure Barre studio, and taking her dog Potato for a long walk.
