Background
Margaret (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) and Psychotherapy Training Fellow at CAS Counseling. She received a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Margaret has experience providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and their families. She has worked in inpatient and residential treatment settings, with clients experiencing eating disorders, anxiety, depression and trauma.
Philosophy
Margaret works from a psychodynamic approach drawing from attachment, family systems, relational and trauma-informed theories. She believes in working closely with the client to develop a sense of comfort and tolerance for engaging with the complexities within one’s internal world by exploring the relationship between themselves, others, and the world.
Joy
Margaret enjoys spending time with close friends, mastering a new recipe so well she no longer needs the recipe, and has a deep appreciation for the arts.
